What is vibration?

Vibration is a physical phenomenon characterized by oscillatory motion around an equilibrium point. It can occur in various forms and frequencies, from microscopic vibrations in atoms and molecules to macroscopic vibrations of massive structures, such as buildings and bridges. Vibration is caused either by external forces or by inherent natural frequencies of the object. The energy of vibration can transfer from one medium to another, for example, through sound waves. Vibration can have both positive and negative effects, such as enabling the functionality of engines and machines, but also causing discomfort or damage in humans and objects. It is widely studied and applied in various fields, including physics, engineering, and medicine.
