What is zun?

Zun, also known as Jun'ya Ota, is a Japanese composer and music arranger for video games. He was born on May 13, 1977, in Hakodate, Japan, and began his career in the video game industry in 1998. He is best known for his work on the Touhou Project, a series of shoot 'em up games created by a single developer.

Zun's style of music combines elements of rock, electronic, and classical music, and he often incorporates traditional Japanese instruments like the shamisen and taiko drums into his compositions. He is also known for his unique approach to music production, as he creates all of the music, artwork, and programming for his games himself.

In addition to his work on the Touhou Project, Zun has composed music for other video games, including the PlayStation 3 game Aquanaut's Holiday and the arcade game Gunslinger Stratos. He has also released several music albums under his own label, Team Shanghai Alice. Despite his success, Zun remains a relatively private individual and rarely makes public appearances.
