What is narcissist?

A narcissist is a person who has an excessive sense of self-importance and a deep need for admiration and attention from others. They may have an exaggerated sense of their abilities and achievements, and may be unable or unwilling to acknowledge the feelings and needs of others. Narcissists often have trouble maintaining healthy relationships and may engage in manipulative or abusive behaviors to maintain control and power over others. They may also struggle with feelings of insecurity and shame, and may use their grandiose self-image as a defense mechanism. Narcissistic personality disorder is a diagnosable mental health condition that is defined by excessive narcissism and related symptoms, such as a lack of empathy and a pattern of exploitative behavior.
