What is egale?

Egale Canada is a national LGBTQI2S+ human rights organization based in Toronto, Canada. Egale is a bilingual non-profit organization supporting LGBTQI2S+ individuals and communities across Canada.

Egale Canada was founded in 1995 and has been active in advocating for LGBTQI2S+ human rights in Canada for over 25 years. The organization has been at the forefront of advancing human rights for LGBTQI2S+ people, and has played a major role in shaping Canadian laws and policies around LGBTQI2S+ issues.

Egale Canada’s work includes advocacy and lobbying at the local, provincial, and national levels, as well as research, education, and public outreach initiatives aimed at promoting awareness and reducing discrimination against LGBTQI2S+ individuals and communities.
