What is predestinated?

Predestination is a theological concept that suggests that God has pre-determined the ultimate fate and destiny of individuals. Predestined individuals are believed to be predetermined by God for either salvation or damnation. The idea of predestination has been a subject of debate within Christian theology, with different interpretations of the concept being held by various Christian denominations. Some believe that God's predestination is absolute and unchangeable, while others suggest that humans have some degree of free will in determining their fate. The concept of predestination has also been featured in various works of literature, notably in the works of John Calvin and Jonathan Edwards.
