What is musashi-kosugi?

Musashi-Kosugi is a neighborhood located in the southern part of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is a busy area with many commercial facilities, high-rise apartments, and office buildings. The neighborhood is named after the Musashi Province that existed during the Edo period. Musashi-Kosugi is one of the busiest train stations in Japan, with more than 360,000 passengers using it every day. The station is served by several major railway lines, including the Tokyu Toyoko Line, the Tokyu Meguro Line, the JR Yokosuka Line, and the Nissan Tamagawa Line. Musashi-Kosugi is also home to the Grandtree Musashi-Kosugi mall, Oyama shopping street, and many trendy restaurants, cafes, and bars.
