La Que Se Avecina (LQSA)

La Que Se Avecina (often shortened to LQSA) is a Spanish comedy television series created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero, and Daniel Deorador. It's a spin-off and indirect continuation of the successful series Aquí No Hay Quien Viva (ANHQV), sharing a similar style of humor and several actors.

The series revolves around the lives of a diverse group of residents living in a newly built apartment complex called "Mirador de Montepinar." Each episode typically features multiple storylines, often interconnected, showcasing the daily dramas, conflicts, romances, and eccentricities of the residents. The humor is generally irreverent, absurd, and often incorporates social satire, tackling themes like economic problems, relationships, family dynamics, and the quirks of modern Spanish society.

Some important subjects covered in the series are:

  • Community living: The show heavily emphasizes the tensions and camaraderie within a residential community.
  • Economic crisis: The series frequently references the economic struggles faced by many Spaniards.
  • Family dynamics: Family relationships, both functional and dysfunctional, are a recurring theme.
  • Relationship issues: Romantic relationships and the problems that arise within them are a central part of the plot.
  • Social satire: The show uses humor to critique aspects of Spanish society.

LQSA is known for its ensemble cast, exaggerated characters, and fast-paced comedic style. It has been a ratings success in Spain and has gained a dedicated following. After many successful seasons the series has been revamped and is being released under the name "Aquí No Se Vive Nadie"
