Ramones began his career as a host on a local radio station in Monterrey in the 1980s. He then moved on to hosting television programs in Mexico, including "Al Ritmo de la Noche" and "Hasta en las Mejores Familias."

In 1995, Ramones became the host of the popular Spanish-language television show "Otro Rollo." The show aired for over a decade and was known for its comedy sketches, interviews with celebrities, and live musical performances. Ramones also hosted the Mexican version of "The Voice" in 2011.

In addition to his work in television, Ramones has also acted in several Mexican films and television shows. He has won multiple awards for his work in comedy and television, including the TVyNovelas Award for Best Variety Show Host in 2000, 2002, and 2003.
