What is abadías?

Abadías is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is situated at an altitude of 695 meters above sea level and covers an area of 23.77 km². The population of Abadías is around 200 people and the main economic activity in the area is agriculture, especially the cultivation of cereals, fruits, and olives. The village has historic buildings including the church of San Juan Bautista and the Torre del Homenaje, which is a tower that dates back to the 13th century. Abadías is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, with forests, mountains, and hiking trails for visitors to enjoy. The Foz de Salinas, a spectacular canyon with waterfalls and pools is one of the most popular tourist spots in the area.
